This pivotal role focuses on driving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring seamless coordination across all supply chain activities to support the company's growth ambitions. Where You'll Make an Impact: • Manage daily warehousing operations including receiving, storage, and distribution to ensure smooth flow and optimal space utilisation. • Implement best practices for inventory control, stock management, and warehouse layout to enhance efficiency. • Oversee warehouse expenses and labour costs, analysing utilisation to optimise workforce productivity and control expenses. • Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, aiming for timely deliveries and cost-effective solutions. • Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to strengthen the supply chain. • Monitor and improve logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for process enhancement. • Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials are available, managing stock levels effectively. • Maintain high standards of quality assurance and compliance with health and safety regulations through regular audits and staff training. • Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse and logistics staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. • Utilise and optimise the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring data accuracy and system integrity. • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard staff and assets.

Profile

Requirements

• Proven experience of 10-15 years in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management.

• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations

• Extensive experience in inventory control, stock management, and production planning

• Demonstrated ability in cost control, labour management, and operational efficiency.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in managing WMS and other relevant software systems

• Must have experience with warehouses in excess of 20 000 m2

• Experience managing own fleets and contractors

• Experience dealing with pallets and racking systems

Nice to Have

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Familiarity with the latest trends in logistics technology and system enhancements.
