Role Requirements To thrive in this role, you must hold a National Diploma in Medical Technology (Cytology Pathology) and be registered with the HPCSA as a Medical Technologist (Cytology Pathology). These qualifications are essential, forming the foundation of your professional credibility and technical capability. You bring with you 3 - 5 years of hands-on screening experience, which has shaped your confidence, sharpened your judgement, and deepened your understanding of cytology. This experience is not just a number—it is a testament to your commitment to excellence and your readiness to lead others in delivering high-quality diagnostic services. Skills Requirements Your communication skills allow you to connect meaningfully with colleagues and clients, whether in English or Afrikaans. You are comfortable with numerical reasoning, able to perform basic calculations with ease, and your computer literacy ensures you can navigate digital systems efficiently. These skills enable you to work with precision, collaborate effectively, and contribute to a seamless laboratory experience. Role Impact In this role, your influence extends far beyond the microscope. You are responsible for receiving and preparing specimens, performing specialised cytology techniques, and maintaining the smooth operation of the laboratory.
