- ND: Civil Engineering
- B Tech in Civil Engineering would be advantageous
- 5 years and more experience in a supervisory technical position is required
- Appropriate experience related to OHS Act, ISO, SCM procedures, Tender & Contracts, Water infrastructure Repairs as well as operational maintenance which includes PRVs, reservoirs, pump stations and telemetry systems monitoring.
- Technical knowledge of the provision of water & sanitation services, financial management, asset care processes and customer relationship management
- Supervisory skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP and Telemetry Systems Monitoring
- Experience in the administration of a maintenance depot, relevant legislations, policies, procedures, by-laws.
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, public holidays and emergency duties
- Valid Code EB/C1/EC/C/EC1 driver's licence
Key Performance Areas
- Controls a number of Installations, plants, large and diverse workshops, depots or areas.
- Draws up operational work plans and maintenance programs.
- Monitors and evaluates progress with regards to repair, construction, installation and maintenance type work
- Co-ordinates and controls tasks/ activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline
- Performs specific administrative tasks/ activities associated with the updating and maintaining records/ information related to the activities/ operations at the Depot
- Undertake accident investigations and prepare public liability claims.
- Implements Occupational Health and Safety processes
- Applies the disciplinary policy whilst interfacing with trade unions.
- Analyses and evaluates reports to determine and identify possible inefficiencies and to institute relevant remedies where necessary.
