- B. Degree in relevant field
- Honours Degree, Masters/ MBA or MBL will be added advantage
- Minimum 8 – 10 years' experience in the development and implementation of a business strategy in a relevant environment.
- Knowledge of the Development Finance sector
- Understanding of Financial planning, analysis and strategic financial policy development
- Understanding of performance management principles
- Broad knowledge and understanding of Government policy priorities
- Understanding of change management and business process re-engineering
- Good understanding of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development, review and approval of corporate planning processes and related systems.
- Support the corporate target-setting process, including consolidation, validation and alignment of corporate performance targets.
- Undertake corporate-level data and performance analysis to support planning, monitoring and executive decision-making.
- Provide data, analysis and technical support for monthly, quarterly and annual performance reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency and audit readiness.
- Develop, communicate and ensure adherence to the annual planning calendar in collaboration with key stakeholders Human Capital, Financial Management, Strategic Financial Planning.
- Support Strategic Financial Management in the development and continuous review of IDC's long-term financial and capital plan to ensure sustainable growth.
- Contribute to IDC capital allocation activities and investment decision-making processes to ensure alignment with the optimal investment portfolio and strategic priorities.
- Participate in the development and review of IDC's long-term strategy and associated plans.
- Support SBUs/Departments/Divisions with strategic planning and alignment of business plans to corporate objectives, particularly within the Finance and Investment clusters.
- Provide strategic, tactical and policy-related insights to inform corporate planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor changes in the operating environment and provide strategic advisory to the Corporation, including input into emerging national legislation and policy.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audit engagements, acting as the interface between auditors and SBUs, including facilitation of information requests, resolution of findings and close-out processes.
- Drive data integrity and audit readiness through validation of performance information against source documentation, ensuring improved data quality and minimal variances.
- Enhance corporate reporting through integration of pipeline data, forward-looking analysis and automation of recurring reports to support decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting systems and tools e.g. Power BI and SAP, including development of integrated, visually enhanced and decision-oriented reports.
- Provide training, guidance and coaching to SBUs and team members on KPI definitions, measurement and reporting practices to ensure consistency and clarity across the organisation.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Communicate corporate strategy and performance insights across the organisation at various forums
