Job Description

  • The Senior Store Manager will lead one of @home LivingSpace's flagship stores, located in the prestigious interior design hub of Kramerville. With annual revenues of approximately R100 million and a staff complement of 30 employees, this store specializes in premium furniture and homeware and serves both individual customers and high-value corporate clients, including decorators and design professionals.

Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team of 30, ensuring high performance in a commission-driven sales environment.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders, fostering a culture of resilience, professionalism, and accountability.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decorators, corporate clients, and individual customers.
  • Deliver exceptional service standards tailored to the needs of high-value clients.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive top-line revenue through new accounts, credit top-ups, basket growth, and conversion.
  • Motivate and manage a commission-based sales team to consistently exceed targets.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure flawless execution of daily operations, merchandising, and customer experience.
  • Safeguard store profitability through effective cost management and operational discipline.

Leadership Attributes Required

  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in a high-performance retail environment.
  • Experience managing decorators and corporate clients within the furniture/homeware sector.
  • Visionary leadership with resilience and the ability to bounce back from adversity.
  • Strong track record of driving sales in commission-driven teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years relevent retail experience with a minimum of 5 years store leadership experience.
  • Additional: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in budgeting and financial management, and experience in inventory management and customer service.
