ROLE PURPOSE

  • Directs the acquisition of goods, materials, and services an organization needs to operate efficiently while controlling costs and reducing supply chain risks. Leads long-term sourcing plans, negotiates high-value contracts, and manages supplier relationships to optimize costs and secure the supply chain. Ensure compliance with Nexio's procurement and BBBEE procurement policies.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

  • Develop and execute category strategies and multi-year purchasing plans aligned with overall business goals
  • Runs tenders RFP/RFQ and aligns acquisitions with business goals.
  • Manage the supplier onboarding process across direct and support costs.
  • Build relationships with reliable suppliers and partners.
  • Maintain an update and accurate supplier database to evaluate and tracking performance as well as for risk mitigation.
  • Compile annual supplier Health Check to ensure the sustainability of suppliers.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms
  • Legally protects the company and ensures adequate Service Level Agreements SLAs.
  • Manages, trains, and sets performance metrics KPIs for purchasing staff and buyers.
  • Partner with finance, legal, operations and support teams to forecast future needs and align workflows.
  • Building strong partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Ensures adherence to SPM policies, conflict of interest policies and confidentiality of supplier information in procurement process.
  • Ensure that supplier relations are managed by means of a contract where Standard Terms and Conditions of the Purchase Order are insufficient to cover the deliverable
  • Ensure Preferential Procurement with respect to all Nexio's suppliers by ensuring compliance with the DTI's BBBEE Codes of Good Practice.
  • Conduct ad hoc governance and strategic procurement projects as directed by management
  • Monitor and drive optimal for procurement of employee travel and ensure that reservations distributed timely
  • Monitors and optimised travel costs and corporate connectivity costs and implements controls for fair usage.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Matric
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Law or equivalent.
  • Post-graduate commercial Degree would be advantageous
  • At least 5 – 8 years relevant experience
