- We are seeking a Senior Specialist: Master Technician to join our BMW team in Vereeniging. This role focuses on providing advanced technical expertise and diagnostic support to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
- You will play a key role in leading complex repairs and mentoring junior technicians within a collaborative dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics and repairs on BMW vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues, employing advanced technical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently.
- Mentor and train junior technicians, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs and services performed, utilizing dealership software effectively.
- Collaborate with service advisors to provide technical support and convey complex information in an accessible manner to customers.
- Stay updated with the latest BMW technologies, tools, and service protocols to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new vehicle models.
- Uphold a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
Requirements
- Qualified Motor Technician with a relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in automotive repair and diagnostics, with a particular focus on BMW vehicles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of addressing complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to colleagues and customers.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, along with familiarity with workshop management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibiting strong leadership qualities in a workshop setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in BMW-specific training or advanced diagnostics are advantageous.
- Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles would be a plus.
- Knowledge of dealership operations and customer service principles is preferred.
