Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for technology, solution design, and innovation? Do you have the expertise to design scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions that support business objectives? We are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping end-to-end technology solutions within a dynamic, agile environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (BSc, BTech, or equivalent degree)

• Relevant architecture certification, with TOGAF certification being essential

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Solution Architecture within an Agile environment

• Foundational experience and understanding of financial markets

• Demonstrated experience in a Solutions Architecture role

• Experience in software engineering is advantageous

• Exposure to the South African financial markets will be an added advantage

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• The successful candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Trading and Risk Platforms

• Data Management Platforms

• Cloud architecture, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Systems integration and application architecture

• Architecture and design of internally developed applications

• Agile methodologies and delivery environments

• Tools and platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Git

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

• The ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, effective technical solutions

• A strategic mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence, business value, and operational efficiency
