Senior Software Developer (Angular & Java)

Our client, a leading organization within the Banking and Financial Services sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer (Angular & Java) to join their dynamic technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to play a key role in the modernization and enhancement of customer-facing and internal banking platforms. The successful candidate will lead Angular upgrades, develop robust Java-based integrations, implement enterprise-grade security solutions, and support cloud-based deployments within a highly regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities

Angular Development & Modernization

• Lead the migration and upgrade of Angular applications from Angular 14 to Angular 21. • Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing and staff portal applications. • Implement modern Angular development practices and reusable component frameworks. • Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability. • Work closely with UX/UI teams to deliver responsive and user-friendly interfaces. • Ensure high-quality code through best practices and peer reviews. Java Development & Integration

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend applications and services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise solutions.
• Support mission-critical banking applications and transaction processing systems.
• Develop microservices and integration frameworks connecting multiple banking platforms.

Security & Identity Management

• Implement enterprise authentication and authorization solutions.
• Integrate applications with Ping Identity and Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms.
• Develop secure APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and industry-standard security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with banking security standards and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with security teams to strengthen platform security posture.

Cloud & DevOps

• Support application deployment and management within AWS environments.
• Partner with DevOps teams to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in deployment automation and release management activities.
• Monitor production systems and resolve performance-related issues.
• Contribute to cloud optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.

Business & Platform Integration

• Develop solutions supporting:
• Lead Management
• Proposal Generation Workflows
• Client Onboarding and Pre-Onboarding Processes

• Integrate banking platforms with:
• Digital Signing Solutions (Signing Hub)
• Document Management Systems
• Internal and External Enterprise Services

• Participate in solution design and architectural discussions.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and support junior developers.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural input.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA teams, and key stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant Angular, Java, AWS, or Cloud certifications will be advantageous.

Experience

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Angular development experience.
• Strong enterprise Java development experience.
• Proven experience upgrading Angular applications across major versions.
• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or other highly regulated environments is highly advantageous.
• Exposure to enterprise integration and identity management solutions.
