Senior Security Analyst

Are you a highly skilled cybersecurity professional with a passion for securing modern Microsoft environments?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst to play a key role in protecting and enhancing our organization's security posture across cloud, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and network environments. This role combines hands-on security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, cloud security, security engineering, governance, and security architecture responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and alerts.

• Conduct threat hunting, root cause analysis, and incident response activities.

• Drive enterprise vulnerability management and remediation programmes.

• Design and implement security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows, Linux, and network environments.

• Support Zero Trust initiatives and cloud security best practices.

• Enhance SIEM, monitoring, automation, detection, and response capabilities.

• Conduct security risk assessments and support audit and compliance requirements.

• Review security designs and contribute to security architecture standards.

• Provide security guidance, awareness training, and technical leadership to stakeholders

Strong experience in

• Microsoft Defender Security Suite

• Microsoft 365 Security

• Azure Security

• Entra ID (Azure AD)

• Active Directory

• Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

• Privileged Access Management (PAM)

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

• Security monitoring and threat detection

• Windows and Linux server security

• Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and network security

• PowerShell, Python and security automation

Experience - NON-NEGOTIABLE

• 7+ years of ICT experience

• 5+ years of dedicated cybersecurity experience

• Experience investigating and responding to security incidents

• Experience managing enterprise security technologies

• Proven experience with vulnerability management and remediation programmes

• Experience securing Azure and cloud-based environments

• Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments

Highly Preferred Certifications

Candidates with one or more of the following certifications will be strongly preferred:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

• Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

• Microsoft Security Certifications

• CompTIA Security+

Nice-to-Have Experience

Exposure to the following will be highly advantageous

• Microsoft Sentinel

• SIEM and SOAR platforms

• Zero Trust Architecture

• Microsoft Intune

• Cloud Security Assessments

• DevSecOps methodologies

Package & Remuneration

R1 020 000 per annum
