Our client, the owner of a prestigious luxury fashion brand, is looking for an experienced Senior Sales Representative to join their boutique in Sandton, Johannesburg.

This is not your typical retail sales position. This is luxury retail, where presentation, product knowledge, customer experience and sales performance all matter. We’re looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of the sales floor, build meaningful client relationships and lead by example.

And yes — while the focus is on selling, the steaming, folding, stockroom organisation and keeping the boutique looking flawless are part of the package too!

Duties & Responsibilities

•⁠  ⁠Delivering an exceptional, personalised shopping experience to every client

•⁠  ⁠Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers

•⁠  ⁠Developing a loyal client base and proactively following up with VIP and repeat customers

•⁠  ⁠Understanding customer preferences and confidently recommending products, outfits and styling options

•⁠  ⁠Consistently achieving and exceeding individual and store sales targets

•⁠  ⁠Taking a senior role on the sales floor and leading by example

•⁠  ⁠Supporting and mentoring junior sales team members where required

•⁠  ⁠Sharing your product and fashion knowledge with customers and colleagues

•⁠  ⁠Staying up to date with new collections, launches, trends and product details

•⁠  ⁠Handling sales, returns, exchanges and special orders accurately and professionally

•⁠  ⁠Assisting with visual merchandising and ensuring the boutique consistently meets luxury brand standards

•⁠  ⁠Maintaining excellent stockroom organisation and ensuring products are replenished and presented correctly

•⁠  ⁠Following up with clients regarding new arrivals, special orders, appointments and promotions

•⁠  ⁠Assisting with events, busy trading periods, deliveries and stocktakes

•⁠  ⁠Supporting the Branch Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the boutique

Desired Experience & Qualification

•⁠  ⁠Proven experience in a senior sales or retail sales position

•⁠  ⁠Previous experience within luxury, premium or fashion retail is highly advantageous

•⁠  ⁠A strong and consistent track record of achieving sales targets

•⁠  ⁠Excellent customer-service skills and the ability to build genuine, long-term client relationships

•⁠  ⁠A confident, polished and professional presence

•⁠  ⁠A genuine passion for fashion, styling and luxury brands

•⁠  ⁠Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•⁠  ⁠Excellent product knowledge and the ability to confidently advise customers

•⁠  ⁠A proactive, self-motivated and commercially driven approach

•⁠  ⁠Strong attention to detail and pride in personal presentation

•⁠  ⁠The confidence to take initiative and operate independently when required

•⁠  ⁠A natural ability to influence, upsell and close sales without compromising the customer experience

•⁠  ⁠Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

•⁠  ⁠A good sense of humour — because even luxury boutiques have stocktake days!
