Our client in the investment management sector is seeking a Senior Research Analyst - Mining & Beneficiation to provide specialist research, financial analysis, and investment insights in support of mining investment opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mining sector and commodity market research.
- Evaluate mining companies and exploration projects.
- Perform technical, commercial, and investment due diligence.
- Review mining financial models and valuations.
- Support investment teams with transaction evaluations and investment recommendations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Mining Engineering, Geology, Mineral Economics, Finance, Investment Management, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- 4-6 years' experience in:
- Mining investment analysis
- Mining equity research
- Mining corporate finance
- Mining project evaluation
- Mining and exploration due diligence
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Sound understanding of commodity markets and mining economics.
- Experience in investment research and financial analysis.
- Bloomberg experience advantageous.
