Key Responsibilities: - Lead engineering and quality initiatives across manufacturing, including process optimisation, OEE improvement, root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions. - Manage engineering and capital projects from concept to implementation, covering budgets, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, risk management and delivery. - Drive compliance with automotive quality requirements while supporting audits, customer quality concerns, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and cross-functional continuous-improvement programmes.
Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile: Education - Bachelor's Degree (BEng, BSc or BTech) in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience - 810 years' engineering experience within automotive manufacturing. - Proven experience in manufacturing process optimisation. - Experience leading capital projects from concept through implementation. - Experience with production equipment, automation systems and mechanical design. - Experience managing or mentoring engineers and technicians.
Skills - Strong understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. - Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and SPC. - Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills. - Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. - Experience with ERP, QMS and relevant statistical-analysis systems. - Lead Auditor experience in IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 will be advantageous. - Knowledge of customer-specific automotive requirements will be advantageous.
