Senior Quality Assurance Officer

A full commercial bank open to people of all religious denominations, providing ethical, interest-free financial services is seeking a  Senior Quality Assurance Officer  who will ensure the quality, reliability, and security of software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Execution: Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test suites across functional, regression, performance, and API layers.

• API Testing: Perform API testing for payment integrations and digital onboarding services using Postman and SoapUI .

• Performance Testing: Execute load and performance testing via JMeter to validate system behavior under peak conditions.

• Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and resolve defects with clear, detailed reporting.

• Risk Identification: Flag security and compliance gaps in accordance with financial services regulatory standards.

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all QA activities align with compliance frameworks standard to the banking environment.

• QA Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine QA processes and standard operating procedures for maximum efficiency and consistency.

• Shift-Left Testing: Collaborate with development teams during sprint planning to define acceptance criteria and integrate quality early in the development cycle.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with developers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.

• Status & Risk Reporting: Communicate test progress, outcomes, and potential quality risks clearly and promptly.

• Release Readiness: Manage stakeholder expectations regarding software quality and release timelines.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Certifications:

• ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent) preferred.

• Agile/Scrum certification is an advantage.

• Proven experience as a QA Specialist within an Agile/Scrum software delivery environment.

• Industry experience in Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services (exposure to real-time payments, payment rails, or digital onboarding is highly advantageous).

• Hands-on experience testing Mendix low-code applications.

• Proficiency with testing tools: Postman / Newman, SoapUI, and JMeter or Gatling .
