Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join us as a consultant. This role requires a seasoned professional who can take ownership of complex Oracle implementation projects in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
  • Please note this a 12 month contract, hybrid in Cape Town.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Oracle implementation projects from initiation through to go-live and post-implementation support
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports
  • Manage cross-functional project teams including developers, architects, business analysts, and third-party vendors
  • Engage and manage senior stakeholders across business and technical audiences
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
  • Ensure alignment between Oracle solution design and business requirements
  • Oversee change management, UAT coordination, and training planning
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation
  • Drive Agile or waterfall delivery methodologies as appropriate to the project
  • Ensure quality assurance and governance standards are maintained throughout delivery

Your expertise

  • Minimum 8+ years of project management experience in technology environments
  • Proven, hands-on experience managing Oracle implementation projects — including Oracle ERP, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Fusion, or Oracle E-Business Suite
  • Strong understanding of Oracle modules such as Financials, Procurement, HR, or Supply Chain
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators
  • Demonstrated ability to manage executive-level stakeholder relationships
  • Proficient in project management methodologies — PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen — comfortable operating within a private equity or financial services environment

Advantageous

  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services capacity
  • Exposure to data migration, system integration, and cutover planning
  • Familiarity with Oracle implementation partner ecosystems
