- We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join us as a consultant. This role requires a seasoned professional who can take ownership of complex Oracle implementation projects in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
- Please note this a 12 month contract, hybrid in Cape Town.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Oracle implementation projects from initiation through to go-live and post-implementation support
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports
- Manage cross-functional project teams including developers, architects, business analysts, and third-party vendors
- Engage and manage senior stakeholders across business and technical audiences
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
- Ensure alignment between Oracle solution design and business requirements
- Oversee change management, UAT coordination, and training planning
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation
- Drive Agile or waterfall delivery methodologies as appropriate to the project
- Ensure quality assurance and governance standards are maintained throughout delivery
Your expertise
- Minimum 8+ years of project management experience in technology environments
- Proven, hands-on experience managing Oracle implementation projects — including Oracle ERP, Oracle Cloud, Oracle Fusion, or Oracle E-Business Suite
- Strong understanding of Oracle modules such as Financials, Procurement, HR, or Supply Chain
- Experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators
- Demonstrated ability to manage executive-level stakeholder relationships
- Proficient in project management methodologies — PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen — comfortable operating within a private equity or financial services environment
Advantageous
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services capacity
- Exposure to data migration, system integration, and cutover planning
- Familiarity with Oracle implementation partner ecosystems
