Company and Job Description Our client in the banking sector is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring agreed business outcomes are achieved within defined scope, time, cost, quality, risk and governance parameters. The role acts as a key coordination and accountability point across business and technology stakeholders, with delivery aligned to banking governance frameworks, delivery standards and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will gain exposure to high-impact enterprise projects, executive-level stakeholder engagement, governance, risk and compliance, financial management and benefits realisation. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, roadmaps and delivery milestones. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies and success measures, and drive delivery from initiation through closure. Ensure adherence to the Business Delivery Life Cycle (BDLC), SDLC, governance frameworks and the bank's minimum standards. Facilitate Steering Committees, Working Groups and Exco reporting, ensuring accurate governance artefacts, approvals and audit evidence. Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, sponsors, technology teams, vendors and external partners. Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, expenditure tracking and resource planning. Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, maintaining RAID logs and mitigation plans. Produce accurate project status reports, dashboards, financial updates and executive reporting. Support organisational change, business readiness, implementation and transition into business-as-usual operations. Track benefits against approved business cases and coordinate post-implementation reviews, lessons learnt and project closure. Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile Proven Project Management capability within complex enterprise environments. Experience managing projects across the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through implementation and closure. Strong understanding of project governance, compliance, risk and audit requirements. Experience working across business and technology teams and managing senior stakeholders. Strong financial and budget management, reporting and resource planning capability. Demonstrated ability to manage RAID logs, dependencies, issues, risks and delivery blockers. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-influence skills. Strategic thinking, planning, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving capability. A strong sense of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement. Banking / financial-services project delivery experience is highly relevant to this opportunity.
