SENIOR PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1 122 322 TO R1 576 194 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: CS 131/26 ● CIVIC CENTRE, CAPE TOWN

Requirements

• Relevant three-year tertiary qualification with higher tertiary qualifications (e.g. B degree) will be given preference

• Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years and/or supervisory/management experience within an IT environment will be advantageous.

Key performance areas

• Lead and participate in all phases of the software application development life cycle with an emphasis on solution architecture and design, development, configuration, testing, release and maintenance of internal and external web-based software systems.

• Leading and participating in large and complex application development projects. Delivering the objectives derived from business and IT requirements for the development

• In depth experience to develop and implement a wide range of projects, programmes, systems, policies and practices in relation to the Application Solutions Design/ Development

• Collaborating with other IT professionals (internal and external) and communicating with business users to provide feedback, resolve issues and share knowledge

• Mentor junior colleagues

• Strive towards an optimum integration level of software products and data, ensuring that the systems development environment is flexible, agile and adaptable to business needs now and in the future

• Establish and maintain comprehensive system documentation, standards, and knowledge repositories to support.
