- A relevant Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Property Studies/Real Estate
- At least eight years property valuation experience while registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession
- Computer literacy
- A valid Code EB driver's license
- Registered with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer or Professional Associated Valuer
- A relevant management degree will be an advantage
Key Performance Areas
- Ensures uniform application of valuation methodology and that valuations are executed in terms of legal requirements.
- Coordinates the professional execution of valuations, which includes checking valuations performed by peers and subordinates for accuracy and consistency.
- Supervises and controls technical staff in order that the Section operates efficiently and effectively.
- Liaises with customers and resolves disputes.
- Represents the City at Valuation Appeal Board hearings.
- Supervises and coordinates the collection and analysis of valuation data ensuring data integrity.
