MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. A relevant diploma combined with substantial directly relevant mining, industrial or project procurement experience may be considered. CIPS, CILT or an equivalent professional procurement or supply-chain qualification or professional membership will be an advantage. Experience Minimum of nine years’ relevant procurement experience, including at least three years in a senior procurement, senior buyer or equivalent role. Experience in mining, PGMs, heavy industry, processing operations or a major project-to-operations environment is strongly preferred. Proven experience in competitive tendering, RFQ and RFP processes, bid evaluation, commercial negotiation and purchase-order management. Experience procuring goods, services, equipment, materials, critical spares and operational requirements within a mining or industrial environment. Experience managing procurement activities involving both local and international suppliers. Experience with supplier prequalification, due diligence, onboarding, performance monitoring and supplier relationship management. Experience with imported goods, freight forwarding, customs clearance and cross-border supply arrangements. Experience supporting the transition of project procurement commitments into operational supply arrangements will be an advantage. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Sound knowledge of procurement principles, strategic sourcing, competitive tendering, bid evaluation and supplier negotiation. Good understanding of procurement governance, Delegation of Authority, segregation of duties, ethical procurement requirements and internal controls. Sound knowledge of Incoterms, international procurement, freight forwarding and cross-border logistics. Working knowledge of applicable Zimbabwean customs, import, duty, tax, exchange-control and foreign-payment requirements, including relevant ZIMRA and RBZ processes. Good working knowledge of ERP procurement systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Pronto, Sage or similar. Microsoft Dynamics experience will be preferable. Advanced Microsoft Excel and procurement-reporting skills. Strong commercial, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Good planning, organisational and prioritisation skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective stakeholder-management and collaborative working skills. Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and competing priorities within a demanding mining environment. Ability to identify supply, commercial, compliance and delivery risks and escalate them appropriately. High level of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail and commitment to ethical procurement practices. Ability to provide guidance and support to other Procurement team members while working within established reporting lines and approval structures. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Clean Class 4 driver’s licence. Willingness to be site-based at Ngezi. Willingness to travel where required for supplier visits, inspections, expediting, negotiations and other procurement-related activities. Ability to work collaboratively across the Procurement team and with operational, technical, project and corporate stakeholders.
