Description

Manages all air quality issues in terms of Air Quality Act 2004
Co-ordinate an integrated air quality service to respond in respect of legislative requirements
Enforce specific procedures and measures on residents, commercial and industrial business;
Co-ordinates and participate in the delivery of awareness and educational programmes on environmental health approaches to safe and healthy living to the community;
Co-ordinates specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result in indicators the functionality;
Identify and evaluate Environmental Health Impacts from Industries and Communities association with Air Quality Deterioration within the district with a view of incorporating emission reduction strategies for a healthier community;
To review Environmental Health Impact Assessments;
Manage project, respond to NEMA Section 30 Incidents, providing air quality expertise, in the review of EIAs, addressing environmental management risks relating to Air quality;
