The Senior Planner provides accurate, timely and credible schedule intelligence to project leadership, proactively identifies schedule risks and delay impacts, and drives the implementation of mitigation and recovery measures to protect the project completion date. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, maintain and control the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and approved programme baselines covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project close-out activities. Establish and maintain the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), coding structures, activity coding, calendars and progress measurement systems in line with project procedures. Coordinate and integrate schedules across multiple workstreams, disciplines, contractors and vendors into a single, logic-driven master programme. Review, interrogate and approve Contractor baseline programmes, revised programmes, look-ahead schedules and recovery plans for compliance with contractual and project requirements. Develop and maintain resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules, S-curves, histograms, manpower and plant loading profiles and earned value progress measurement. Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis, float management, schedule risk analysis and "what-if" scenario modelling to test programme robustness. Monitor and verify actual physical progress against baseline, analyse variances, identify emerging slippage and escalate deviations with recommended corrective actions. Evaluate and quantify the schedule impact of changes, variations, delays, disruptions and extension of time claims, and provide substantiated analysis to support the project's contractual position. Prepare and issue daily, weekly and monthly planning and progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, trend analyses and executive-level programme summaries. Identify, register and track schedule risks and opportunities, and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are developed, implemented and monitored to prevent project overruns. Facilitate and lead planning, look-ahead, interactive planning and programme review sessions with project teams, contractors and stakeholders. Support constructability reviews, construction sequencing, shutdown/tie-in planning and systems completion and turnover sequencing. Lead, supervise, coach and mentor junior and intermediate planners, and ensure consistent application of planning standards, procedures and best practice across the project. Maintain full auditability and version control of all schedules, baselines, revisions and supporting planning records. Liaise with the project teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders regarding project performance, forecasts and programme requirements. Comply with and enforce all applicable SHE requirements, standards and statutory obligations while carrying out planning duties on site.
