Introduction

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Operations & Quality Control Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining operational excellence across our business. This is a hands-on operational leadership role within a fast-paced retail environment, requiring strong administration, team co-ordination, quality control, and process implementation skills.

The successful candidate will work closely with Management to ensure operational consistency, accountability, and high standards throughout the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of store administration and operational tasks
  • Ensure SOPs, policies and protocols are actioned correctly
  • Oversee Opening, End of Shift and Closing duties, checking of Guest Tickets, attendance records, and operational documentation
  • Assist with creating and implementing SOPs and improving operational processes
  • Lead, train, and guide the team in completing their duties correctly
  • Train the team to become self-sufficient rather than completing their work for them
  • Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and outstanding tasks
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping, ticket checking and financial administration where required
  • Review and verify operational documentation before submission to Management
  • Monitor operational compliance, address deviations from company standards, and assist management with corrective action processes where required
  • Support Management in introducing and communicating process improvements
  • Assist Management in maintaining accountability and consistency within the team
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-focused working environment
  • Assist Management with day-to-day operational oversight
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to support the business during peak trading periods

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS

  • Fast-paced retail environment where several priorities may need to be managed simultaneously
  • Significant daily interaction with the team, including giving instructions and holding people accountable
  • Comfort with addressing errors, non-compliance, and difficult situations professionally
  • Requires initiative, independence, resilience, and excellent organizational skills
  • Not a Monday–Friday office role; public holidays are required, as well as a half day on either Saturdays or Sundays
  • Working hours, breaks, leave, and attendance are managed according to the employment contract, company policies, operational requirements, and applicable legislation
  • Candidates are responsible for their own reliable transport to and from work
  • Uniform, name-badge, and stationary requirements apply according to company policy

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years' proven administration or operations support experience, preferably retail or hospitality
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to lead, train, guide and hold the team accountable
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines
  • Experience developing or implementing SOPs
  • Bookkeeping experience is advantageous

SELECTION PROCESS

Microsoft Office testing and math test will be conducted during the interview process. Candidates may also be assessed on organization, attention to detail, prioritization and practical workplace scenarios.
