Senior Network & Security Engineer

Job Purpose The Senior Network & Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, maintaining and supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise across networking, firewalls, cloud connectivity and cybersecurity, together with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide high-level technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Engineering & Infrastructure
• Design, implement, configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex network-related incidents.
• Perform network infrastructure audits and identify areas for improvement.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless infrastructure and associated network technologies.
• Plan and implement network changes, upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Monitor network performance, availability and capacity.
• Perform network maintenance, optimisation and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, standards and technical procedures.
• Assist with the design and implementation of resilient and highly available network solutions.

Relevant qualifications and certifications may include : • CCNA • CCNP Enterprise • Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation • Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core • Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core • Fortinet NSE 4 &5 & 6 & 7 • Fortinet Application Delivery Fundamentals • F5 BIG-IP / F5 Administration certification • MikroTik MTCNA • Juniper JNCIA • IT Systems Support / A+ or equivalent

Experience Minimum 5-8 years' experience in network engineering, network infrastructure and/or network security. Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior-level Network and Security Engineer with strong hands-on enterprise networking and cybersecurity experience. They should have a solid Cisco foundation, extensive firewall and security knowledge-particularly Fortinet-and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

A candidate with CCNP-level networking expertise, Fortinet certifications, Azure networking experience and strong firewall/security administration experience would be particularly well suited to this role.
