This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical or mechatronic engineer who is ready to move beyond conventional design work and take on a broader consulting role. You will work closely with local and international engineering organisations, helping them improve their product design processes, engineering data management, design validation and the implementation of modern engineering technologies. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, mining, automotive, defence, industrial equipment, product development and advanced engineering. Detail: Minimum Requirements: Qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering . Approximately 5–7+ years' experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing or engineering systems. Strong CAD experience, ideally using SOLIDWORKS . A solid understanding of engineering drawings, BOMs, revision control, manufacturing processes and design release procedures. Confidence in working directly with customers, engineering managers and technical teams. Strong problem-solving, communication and project delivery skills. Advantageous Experience: PDM, PLM, ERP or engineering data management systems. Drawing office management, CAD administration or design team leadership. FEA, CFD or other engineering simulation tools. Design automation, engineering templates, workflow development or process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Provide engineering consulting and technical advisory services to customers. Assess drawing office practices, CAD environments and broader engineering processes. Identify opportunities to improve design workflows, CAD standards, revision control and engineering documentation. Support engineering data management, PDM and digital transformation initiatives. Assist with the implementation of SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM, 3DEXPERIENCE and related engineering technologies. Develop and review CAD models, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation. Apply practical Design for Manufacturing principles. Present technical recommendations and deliver demonstrations, workshops and training to customers. Why Consider This Opportunity?
