We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in mechanical design, product development, 3D modelling, and multidisciplinary engineering projects. Detail: Minimum Requirements BSc or BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 8–10 years' experience in Mechanical Design Engineering. Advanced proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), design calculations, and product development. Knowledge of mechanical systems, structural design, piping systems, and electro-mechanical equipment. Strong understanding of engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and design-for-manufacture principles. Experience working within mining, manufacturing, heavy industry, defence, rail, or process plant environments will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Design and develop complex mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment from concept through to production. Produce detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Perform design calculations, simulations, FEA analyses, and engineering evaluations. Develop and manage engineering data packs, bills of materials, and revision-controlled documentation. Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. Conduct design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Liaise with suppliers, production teams, and customers regarding technical requirements and design improvements. Support prototype development, testing, commissioning, and product optimisation activities. Manage product lifecycle activities and engineering change processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Desired Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
