Tasks
Category Analytics & Strategy Execution
- Build demand/spend baselines, market scans, supplier segmentation, and should cost models.
- Translate category strategy into sourcing waves with clear business cases.
- Maintain savings/risk/innovation pipeline with quarterly updates.
RFx & Negotiation
- Draft RFIs/RFPs/RFQs; define evaluation criteria Total Cost of Ownership TCO/Life Cycle Costing LCC, technical/quality weighting.
- Run structured negotiations commercials, SLAs, service credits, exit terms.
- Recommend award decisions with transparent evaluation and governance evidence.
Contracting & Supplier Enablement
- Coordinate contracts and SOWs with Legal, securing approvals within SLA.
- Prepare award packages for Tactical Buying catalogue content, rate cards, call off instructions.
- Ensure supplier onboarding prerequisites insurance, certifications are met.
Supplier Performance & Risk
- Prepare QBR packs, track KPIs and action logs.
- Escalate risks or under performance to ensure appropriate resolution.
- Coordinate corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Align timing and scope of sourcing with business owners and effectively manage impacts.
- Track and report benefits with Finance and maintain evidence for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Procurement/Business or relevant discipline.
- CIPS advantageous.
- Postgraduate degree advantageous
Experience
- 5-8 years' strategic sourcing experience in the assigned cluster's categories.
- Experience with e-sourcing, CLM, and spend analytics.
- Proven track record in supplier relationship management SRM and performance monitoring.
- Experience in contract negotiation and governance, including managing complex agreements and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to risk management practices in procurement and supplier networks.
- Familiarity with market analysis and benchmarking to support category strategies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders Finance, Legal, IT, HR to deliver sourcing outcomes.
- Knowledge of digital procurement tools and emerging technologies for process optimisation.
