Senior Manager - Program Delivery

• As the Senior Manager – Program Delivery you will be responsible for the planning, governance, and successful delivery of complex regional programs and projects across all stages of the project lifecycle.
• You will partner closely with senior business leaders, Global Function Heads, IT teams, country stakeholders, and external service providers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, business acumen, and deep understanding of Operations and HR business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program & Project Delivery

• Contribute to the development and execution of project and program management strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Lead the planning and implementation of complex, high-visibility programs and projects across multiple countries and functions.
• Ensure successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation through execution and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, and status reports.

Governance, Risk & Change Management

• Monitor project milestones and performance against agreed objectives.
• Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Manage scope changes and project acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership

• Build strong relationships with business leaders, global functional teams, and country stakeholders.
• Provide expert guidance on processes, systems, tools, and program delivery approaches.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure effective resource planning and project execution.
• Influence stakeholders across multiple functions to achieve shared business outcomes.

Financial & Resource Management

• Track and manage project budgets, costs, and overall programme performance.
• Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Ensure optimal utilization of project resources and delivery capabilities.

Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation

• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery effectiveness and efficiency.
• Promote best practices, methodologies, and governance standards.
• Support the broader Program Delivery and Digitalization agenda across the SSA Region.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, ITIL, PMP, Agile, or similar will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years' project or programme delivery experience within DHL Express, or
• 10–15 years of project/program management experience in a large, complex multinational environment.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology and business transformation initiatives.
• Experience working across multiple countries and diverse stakeholder groups.

Functional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Operations, Customs, Human Resources, and Pickup & Delivery business processes and supporting applications.
• Deep knowledge of project and program management methodologies.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and organisational change.
• Strong commercial, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.

Languages

• Fluent English is essential.
• French and/or Portuguese would be advantageous.
