Minimum Requirements
- Prospective candidates should be in possession of a doctoral degree in Linguistics/English/Communication/Language Studies/English Second Language/ TESOL as a vertical qualification.
- Be experienced in lecturing/teaching Academic Literacy, English or Communication for at least four years as a full-time employee in higher education.
- A minimum of one journal article in a DHET-accredited journal that is not older than three years.
Recommendations
- Possess a doctoral degree and a teaching qualification.
- Evidence of interest in research in the form of a project, conference presentations and at least one recent publication.
- Have some community engagement experience or interest.
- Demonstrate some leadership and management skills.
- Be familiar with teaching in an English as an additional language environment.
