A vacancy exists for a Senior Lecturer in the field of Agricultural with a focus on Plant Production/Horticulture and sustainable/regenerative agriculture in the Natural Resource Science and Management Cluster of the Science Faculty. The purpose of this academic post is to teach and research at the interface of both agricultural management and plant production sciences, emphasizing the integration of management and science in a sustainable agricultural business context, specifically, intensive horticultural production. The post requires a person who has the ability and experience to teach and research across disciplines within the Agricultural Management diploma, degree and postgraduate programs. The ideal candidate will be required to also engage in systems research that is interdisciplinary in nature. Conduct, supervise and publish research relevant to the broad theme of regenerative agriculture / intensive horticulture farming systems Engage and network with stakeholders in the agricultural industry in terms of teaching, research, and work-integrated learning. Perform administrative and management functions in the Agricultural Management Program within the cluster of Natural Resource Science and Management Evidence of attracting research funding and ability to initiate and manage research partnerships with external stakeholders (e.g., Industry, Government) will be an added advantage
