Senior Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for a well-rounded developer with extensive back-end and full-stack development experience who is passionate about building scalable, high-quality software solutions and mentoring fellow developers. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-grade applications while contributing to technical strategy, solution architecture, and best development practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that support business objectives and drive continuous improvement. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software applications.

• Develop and enhance back-end services, APIs, and full-stack solutions.

• Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.

• Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and fellow developers.

• Mentor junior and intermediate developers and support their professional growth.

• Ensure software quality through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 8 years' solid software development experience .

• Strong back-end and/or full-stack development expertise.

• Proven experience using one or more of the following technologies:

• Java

• Node.js

• TypeScript

• Python

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

• Experience designing and developing scalable, maintainable applications.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous Skills

The following experience will be highly beneficial

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• RESTful API design and development

• Version control using Git

• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

• Cloud-native application development and deployment

• Experience working in Agile development environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.

• Java Certification will be advantageous.

• AWS Certification will be advantageous.
