Senior Java Developer

Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with 8+ years of professional Java development experience and deep expertise in Spring Boot and Angular to join our engineering team.

You will be part of an exciting project focused on building a scalable ticketing platform that enables customers to discover and purchase tickets for events, sporting events, and other live experiences .

This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact platform where you will contribute across the full technology stack — from developing robust backend microservices and APIs to creating modern, responsive user interfaces.

Duties & Responsibilities

Backend Engineering

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance, secure RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot .

• Build scalable, resilient and enterprise-grade backend services.

• Implement business logic and application services using modern Java development practices.

• Apply best practices around security, performance, scalability and maintainability.

Frontend Development

• Develop responsive, modular and dynamic user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript .

• Build intuitive customer-facing experiences for ticket discovery, selection and purchasing.

• Work with HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS to deliver high-quality web applications.

• Integrate Angular applications with backend REST APIs.

Database & Integration

• Implement persistence layers using Spring Data JPA / Hibernate .

• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle and/or NoSQL technologies.

• Design efficient queries, data models and database integrations.

• Integrate internal and external systems through APIs and services.

Microservices & Cloud

• Design and develop cloud-native, distributed applications using microservices architecture.

• Apply principles of scalability, resiliency, observability and fault tolerance.

• Work with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments and infrastructure automation.

Software Engineering & Delivery

• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA Engineers, Architects and other developers.

• Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve system performance.

• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested and reusable code.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience .

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot .

• Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices .

• Strong hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript .

• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS .

• Strong experience with Spring Data JPA / Hibernate .

• Experience working with PostgreSQL, Oracle and/or NoSQL databases .

• Experience with cloud-native application development .

• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns and best practices.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
