We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a company based in Johannesburg CBD.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Java on the backend, JavaScript and React on the frontend, as well as experience working with cloud based technologies such as AWS and Azure.
Banking experience would be advantageous.
This is a 6 month contract and a hybrid position (3 days in office; 2 days remote).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build APIs and backend services using Java.
- Develop and maintain web applications using frontend technologies such as JavaScript (or similar).
- Design, implement, and manage relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Deploy applications to cloud platforms.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 7+ years of development experience (with at least 1 year working for a bank or similar).
- Previous experience in a full stack role.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
