Senior Investment Accountant

Job Description

• Manage the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and board reporting packs • Maintain accurate accounting records for investment entities and associated structures • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and support external audit processes • Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements • Perform fund accounting activities, including the processing and reconciliation of investment transactions • Calculate and review Net Asset Values (NAVs) and other key fund performance metrics • Reconcile investment portfolios, bank accounts, and cash positions • Support investment reporting and analysis across various investment vehicles • Monitor cash flow requirements, treasury activities, and liquidity forecasts • Manage VAT, taxation, and statutory compliance obligations • Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes • Liaise with auditors, regulators, advisors, and other key stakeholders • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis • Support transaction execution through financial analysis, due diligence, and accounting assessments • Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within investment accounting, fund accounting, asset management, fund administration, or a related financial services environment • Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles • Experience working with investment portfolios, fund structures, and complex reconciliations • Exposure to NAV calculations and investor reporting will be advantageous • Experience within private equity, alternative investments, investment holding companies, or similar structures is highly desirable • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling capabilities • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience working with accounting systems and investment reporting platforms • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Qualification:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree • Honours degree advantageous. • Completed audit articles • CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, or a similar recognised professional qualification Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
