Senior Inventory Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory accuracy across the warehouse and maintain accurate stock locations and bin allocations.
• Manage cycle counts, sectional counts and stock takes, investigating variances and implementing corrective action.
• Monitor stock movements, inter-branch transfers, incoming shipments and outstanding stock.
• Maintain accurate SKU allocation, barcode information and inventory records.
• Monitor stock availability and support demand and work order planning.
• Ensure stock is correctly received, stored, moved and processed on the system.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies through root-cause investigation.
• Prepare inventory and operational reports.
• Support efficient day-to-day warehouse and stock control operations.
• Supervise and support warehouse/stock control staff and ensure inventory procedures are followed.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Minimum 5 years' inventory or stock control experience within a warehouse, wholesale or distribution environment.
• Current or recent responsibility for at least 1,500 active SKUs / stock line items.
• Experience with cycle counts, stock takes, inventory reconciliations and variance investigation.
• Previous experience supervising or managing warehouse or stock control staff.
• Strong ERP / inventory management system experience.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management or a related field would be advantageous.
• Kerridge K8 experience would be advantageous.
