Senior Intune & Modern Workplace Engineer (Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Management)

Introduction

Contract: 12 Months (Potential for Renewal)

Location:  It is a remote working position – although it will be required to go to the client’s office in Sandton or Midrand as and when needed.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Intune Engineer to support the design, implementation, and management of Microsoft Intune and Modern Workplace solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for endpoint management, device compliance, security policies, automation, and end-user device provisioning across the Microsoft 365 environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Intune solutions.

• Manage device enrollment, configuration, compliance, and application deployment.

• Support Windows Autopilot and zero-touch device provisioning.

• Configure and maintain Conditional Access policies and security baselines.

• Administer Azure AD (Entra ID) device management and identity integration.

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation for endpoint management.

• Monitor device compliance, security posture, and endpoint health.

• Troubleshoot Intune, Autopilot, device enrollment, and application deployment issues.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and support teams to improve endpoint services.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management .

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID), and Windows 10/11 administration.

• Hands-on experience with Windows Autopilot , device compliance, and Conditional Access.

• Experience deploying and managing applications through Intune.

• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) is advantageous.

• Knowledge of endpoint security, encryption, patch management, and compliance controls.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)

• Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102)

• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
