Senior Interior Designer
An established organisation is seeking an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate design professional with at least 5 years of interior design experience , strong technical drawing skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept through to completion. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Measure project sites and produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Prepare construction drawings, shopfitting sketches, shop drawings, and supporting technical documentation.
- Develop space planning layouts and functional interior solutions.
- Create innovative interior design concepts, mood boards, finish schedules, and colour palettes within project budgets.
- Specify furniture, finishes, fixtures, and décor items while compiling specification documents and project budgets.
- Source materials, finishes, furniture, and decorative items from suppliers.
- Present design concepts and proposals to clients and maintain strong client relationships throughout projects.
- Liaise with suppliers to stay informed on new products, materials, and industry trends.
- Conduct regular site visits, monitor project progress, and compile snag lists to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Maintain and update the materials and sample library while researching new design trends and products.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed deadlines and quality expectations.
- Represent the organisation professionally in all client, supplier, and project interactions.
- Assist with general administrative and office responsibilities where required.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in commercial or corporate interiors.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit .
- Experience with SketchUp, CorelDRAW, and other 3D rendering software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in space planning, technical drawings, furniture specifications, and construction documentation.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
