We are looking for a talented, commercially-minded Retail Store Designer. Someone who can not only think like a designer but place themselves in the view point of the retailer.
We need a designer that can understand that all aspects need to be used as revenue-generating spaces. Ability to quickly convert creative ideas into practical, buildable stores while maintaining high design standards and attention to detail.
Conceptualising, designing, and delivering exceptional store environments that bring our brand to life while driving sales performance. Development of new stores and the continuous improvement of existing ones, combining strong design creativity with a sharp retail and commercial mindset.
Duties & Responsibilities
Store Concept & Design Development: Overall look, feel and layout in line with Company brand
Fixture & Fitting Design: Design retail fixtures, accurate drawings for manufacturing & installation
Space Planning & Merchandising Logic: Plan and map SKU allocation per category, Apply commercial optimisation principles with a strong focus on revenue per square metre (R/m²).
3D Visualisation & Walkthroughs: Create high-quality 3D renders, animations, and virtual walkthrough videos to clearly communicate design concepts.
Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with contractors, shopfitters, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure designs are executed accurately, on time, and within budget.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in retail interior design, commercial interior architecture, or shopfitting
- Proven portfolio showcasing technical drawings, 3D renders, and completed retail spaces
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for technical drawings
- Strong skills in SketchUp, Blender, or 3ds Max for 3D modelling
- Experience with Lumion, Enscape, or Twin motion for rendering and walkthroughs
- Solid understanding of materials, construction methods, and shopfitting processes
- Store layout plans
- Fixture design packs (including technical drawings)
- SKU allocation & merchandising plans
- High-quality 3D renders and walkthrough videos
- Site-ready construction and installation documentation
Package & Remuneration
Salary Market Related (Negotiable based on experience)
