Start free — we apply for you →Duties & Responsibilities: Build and validate API security and identity management prototypes in a non-production environment. Assess the impact of security architecture changes on existing API consumers and integration platforms. Conduct gap analyses, identify risks, and provide practical remediation recommendations. Develop reusable implementation guidance and best practices for development and integration teams. Collaborate with architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders to support a future-state API security roadmap. Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer artefacts.
Key Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 Relevant Tertiary Qualification & Certifications Minimum 5 Years experience in integration engineering, API platforms, application security, or related enterprise technology environments.
Strong experience with API security, authentication, authorisation, and identity management technologies.
Solid understanding of modern security standards such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, API access management, certificate-based authentication, and policy enforcement frameworks.
Experience working with API gateways, integration platforms, microservices, or cloud-native architectures.
