Our Datacentrix client in KZN is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on contract for 1 year. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for ensuring the organization's IT infrastructure is secure, stable, resilient, and capable of supporting business operations. The role combines technical expertise, operational support, project delivery, and strategic planning to maintain and improve the company's technology environment. This role is the technical custodian of the organization's infrastructure, responsible for keeping the business running securely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric and Tertiary Qualification
- 5 to 7 Years Experience essential
Key Areas of responsibility
- Active Directory and identity services across all sites.
- Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
- FortiGate firewalls, WAN connectivity, and site resilience.
- Endpoint management through SCCM/Intune.
- Security platforms such as CrowdStrike.
- Disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Ensuring users can continue working from alternative sites if a branch experiences an outage.
