Senior Human Resources Officer

Introduction

Mogale Tailings Retreatment (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Pan African Resources (Pty) Ltd based in Krugersdorp is looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Officer to join a dynamic team. This position requires a candidate with an interest in Human Resources, particularly in Mining or similar environment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives on challenges and is eager to contribute to the growth and success of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations, engage and provide professional HR advice to HOD’s employees and line managers,

• Coordinate and assist with employee training and development,

• Assist with recruitment, selection, interviews, appointments and onboarding of employees,

• Handle Employee Relations, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, absenteeism and misconduct cases,

• Adhere to company policies and procedures,

• Preparing monthly, weekly and as when required reports for the HR Manager,

• Maintain accurate records, HR systems and personnel files including the Time & Attendance System Management,

• Manage direct reports,

• Assist with Employment Equity and other statutory meeting where applicable,

• Staff Wellness,

• Participate in union engagements and collective bargaining processes where required including taking and managing meeting minutes,

• Promote positive workplace culture and adherence to company values and mine health and safety requirements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• National Higher Diploma/Degree in HR Management/ Industrial Psychology/ Labour Relations or similar field.

• Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law will be advantageous.

• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office.

• Code B driver’s license.

• Medical Certificate of fitness.

• English proficiency.

• Computer Literacy.

• 5 years HR experience within a mining industry on senior management level.

• No criminal record.
