A technical leader responsible for architecting solutions, setting coding standards, and mentoring the development team. The Senior Developer takes ownership of complex, cross-module delivery and collaborates closely with product and QA leadership. This is a critical role in driving the ERP rewrite from the ground up.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable full stack architectures
- Lead complex feature development and cross-module system integrations
- Define and enforce coding standards and development best practices
- Mentor intermediate and junior developers through code review and pairing
- Own production stability, deployment processes, and release quality
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and QA leadership
- Proactively identify technical debt and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to data modelling, API contract design, and system architecture decisions
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required
- Java Spring Boot - advanced, production-grade experience
- React - architecture, performance optimisation, state management
- PostgreSQL - advanced: query tuning, indexing, schema design
- REST API design - OpenAPI / Swagger, versioning strategies
- Git - branching strategy ownership and enforcement
- Docker - containerised environments in production
- Linux - comfortable administering and scripting server environments
- Automated testing strategy: unit, integration, and E2E
Strongly Preferred
- Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration
- CI/CD pipeline design and ownership
- React Native or PWA architecture
- Metabase or similar BI/reporting tools
- Redis or other caching strategies

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of professional full stack development experience
- Demonstrated experience in a senior individual contributor or technical leadership role
- Proven delivery of enterprise-grade systems in a production environment
Preferred / Nice to Have
- ERP, accounting, or financial software development background
- Experience contributing to or leading a greenfield system rewrite
- Exposure to legacy-to-modern migration projects
