This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering reliable, secure, and maintainable software in a fast-moving environment. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering peers to implement end-to-end solutions, integrate Generative AI/LLM capabilities, and strengthen CI/CD quality and deployment safety. Detail: Technical Stack & Ecosystem Backend Frameworks: Node.js (NestJS, Fastify, TypeORM, TypeScript). Frontend Stack: React, Next.js, TypeScript, TanStack Query (React Query), TailwindCSS. Databases & Caching: PostgreSQL, Redis. Messaging & Workers: AWS SQS, event-driven background workers. Infrastructure & Cloud: AWS (ECS Fargate, ECR, CloudFront), Docker. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform. CI/CD & Pipelines: GitHub Actions (build, test, migration, deploy workflows). Testing Suite: Playwright (E2E/smoke testing), Vitest/Jest (Unit testing). Third-Party Integrations: Twilio APIs, Auth0, LLM/Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic.). Core Technical Responsibilities Product Engineering (Backend + Frontend) Build and maintain performant, type-safe APIs and services using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript. Deliver modern, responsive user experiences in React/Next.js with reliable client-server state handling. Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable, production-ready code. LLM & AI Feature Development Implement and optimize LLM-powered workflows (prompting, semantic search, agentic flows, and RAG-style features). Evaluate AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., Copilot/Cursor/agent workflows) and apply it responsibly to improve delivery speed and code quality. Reliability, Quality & Testing Write and maintain meaningful automated tests across unit, integration, and E2E layers. Diagnose production issues, improve observability, and reduce regression risk through robust engineering practices. Participate actively in code reviews and uphold standards for readability, testability, and type safety. CI/CD & Cloud Delivery Contribute to GitHub Actions workflows that enforce build/test/deploy quality gates. Support safe deployments with migration sequencing, smoke testing, and rollback-aware release practices. Work with Terraform and AWS services (ECS/Fargate/ECR/CloudFront) to ship and operate services at scale. Security, Compliance & Data Boundaries Follow secure coding practices and protect sensitive customer and tenant data. Build features that respect regional data-residency and sovereignty requirements in multi-region architectures. Ensure services correctly enforce tenant and region boundaries. Must-Haves (Technical & Domain Profile): 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in modern web platforms. Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong experience with Node.js (NestJS/Fastify) and TypeScript in production systems. Strong experience with React/Next.js and modern frontend engineering practices. Hands-on experience integrating LLM/Generative AI APIs into real product workflows. Proven experience with PostgreSQL, schema evolution/migrations, and performance-conscious querying. Practical experience with AWS containerized deployments and Terraform. Experience creating or maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines and Playwright E2E tests. Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns. Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional delivery teams.
