Senior Financial Maqnager / Head of Finance

Job Description

• Lead the full finance function across a multi-site operation, providing strategic financial leadership and direction • Deliver insightful monthly management accounts, branch performance packs, and executive reporting that supports decision-making • Partner with branch managers to improve profitability, productivity, labour recovery, cost control, and operational efficiency • Drive branch-level profitability analysis, identifying margin leakage and implementing practical solutions to improve performance • Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and working capital management across the business • Develop and maintain executive dashboards that give management real-time visibility into key financial and operational metrics • Monitor and optimise WIP, debtor collections, insurer recoveries, parts margins, and revenue streams to maximise financial performance • Strengthen governance, financial controls, risk management, and compliance across all branches • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement • Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, providing commercial recommendations, business cases, and financial insights that influence strategic decisions Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Senior Financial Manager, Head of Finance, Finance Business Partner, or similar leadership role • Strong commercial finance, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise • Experience partnering with operational leaders to drive profitability, improve performance, and influence business decisions • Advanced Excel, ERP systems, financial reporting, dashboard development, and data analytics capability • Experience in multi-site, high-volume operational environments, with automotive, vehicle repair, workshop, fleet, manufacturing, or distribution exposure being advantageous Qualification:

• CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, BCom Accounting, BCompt, Financial Management, or equivalent finance qualification.
