This opportunity is ideally suited to a driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys working beyond the traditional finance function. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial strategy of the business while contributing to customer engagement, business development, and commercial initiatives. This is a highly visible role requiring strong financial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Detail: Key Responsibilities Support the CFO in the financial management and strategic direction of the business. Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and financial controls. Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements. Assist with annual audits and the preparation of financial statements. Partner with operational teams to drive business performance and informed decision-making. Engage with customers and key stakeholders to strengthen relationships and support commercial objectives. Assist with business development initiatives by providing financial insight and commercial support. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to evaluate opportunities, pricing strategies, and customer profitability. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting. Mentor and support members of the finance team where required. Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent financial qualification. Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles will be advantageous but are not essential. Minimum of 5–8 years' relevant financial management experience. Experience within manufacturing, construction materials, industrial, or FMCG environments will be advantageous. Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to contribute beyond the finance function (marketing) Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial systems experience. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. A proactive, energetic, and hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
