Company and Job Description
Our client is a rapidly expanding fintech business seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead its finance function and support its continued growth across Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial leadership, treasury management, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making across multiple entities. This role will suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong leadership capabilities, extensive treasury and reporting experience, and a solid understanding of cross-border financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the finance function across multiple African jurisdictions • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes • Deliver strategic financial insights to support business growth • Oversee treasury operations, cash management, and FX exposure • Ensure accurate and timely IFRS-compliant reporting • Monitor compliance, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements • Develop financial models to support profitability and expansion initiatives • Partner with executive leadership on strategic business decisions • Build and lead a high-performing finance team • Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks Job Experience and Skills Required Qualification:
• BCom Accounting or equivalent • CA(SA) (non-negotiable) Experience:
• Minimum 10 years' finance experience • At least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role • Experience within fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, digital assets, or financial services • Strong exposure to treasury management and financial reporting • Experience operating across multiple African markets and entities • Proven track record of building scalable finance processes and teams Skills:
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills • Strong understanding of IFRS, tax, compliance, and audit requirements • Experience with financial modelling and performance analysis • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Apply Now!
