- Take full responsibility for the preparation and reconciliation of the trial balance through to month-end, ensuring compliance with all statutory and corporate reporting requirements.
- Manage the general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, accounting records, and financial registers, including the preparation of journals, adjustments, reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial and management reports for both UK head office and local management, providing meaningful analysis of the company's financial performance.
- Provide guidance, support, induction, and training to Regional Finance teams across multiple countries where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, strengthen controls, and reduce costs, while coordinating the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives with management.
- Prepare the annual budget and mid-term financial forecasts.
- Perform detailed variance analysis, including month-on-month, year-on-year, and actual versus budget comparisons.
- Prepare weekly cost forecasts to support financial planning and business decision-making.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Accounting Degree or Diploma with a minimum of 3 - 5 years' corporate accounting experience preparing accounts through to balance sheet, including major balance sheet reconciliations.
- Corporate accounting experience within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience with foreign exchange accounting.
- Regional finance experience supporting multiple companies, countries, or business units.
- Experience in financial management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
