Start free — we apply for you →An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a dynamic finance team responsible for a diverse property portfolio.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of monthly reporting, financial analysis, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and year-end processes while working closely with senior finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare month-end journals and financial reconciliations • Analyse general ledger and balance sheet accounts • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports • Perform detailed variance analysis against budgets • Manage intercompany loan reconciliations and related journals • Maintain the fixed asset register, capitalisation and depreciation • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations • Assist with budgeting and cash flow reporting • Support annual audits and tax submissions • Prepare quarterly reporting schedules • Drive continuous improvements to finance processes and reporting • Assist with finance projects and ad hoc reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required: • BCom Accounting degree • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles advantageous • Property accounting experience highly advantageous • Experience on MDA or similar property management software advantageous • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
