- BCom degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years in a senior accounting role
- Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in similar industry (Chemical, supply chain management, Logistics)
- Management accounting experience
- Knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance
Key responsibility
- Cost accounting and process engineering
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate month-end closures
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Conduct variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis
