Strategic Financial Leadership
- Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to executive leadership.
- Partner with business leaders to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support investment and expansion opportunities.
- Drive profitability, financial sustainability, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee and manage the full finance function.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Deliver management accounts and executive reporting packs within strict deadlines.
- Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial information and reporting.
Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and industry regulations.
- Manage and oversee the application of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 .
- Strengthen internal control environments and governance frameworks.
- Lead the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors.
- Oversee tax compliance, VAT submissions, and statutory reporting obligations.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the business.
Operational Finance
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Drive finance process improvements, digitisation initiatives, and operational efficiencies.
- Support business units with financial analysis and performance management.
- Ensure effective utilisation of financial systems and reporting tools.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Drive succession planning and talent development within the finance function.
Requirements
Qualifications
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is essential.
- Postgraduate finance qualification would be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Proven experience managing a full finance function within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting expertise.
- Practical experience with IFRS 15
