- National Diploma / Preferred Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health
- 2-3 years working experience as an Environmental Health Practitioner
- Valid registration with HPCSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner
- Excellent in communication verbal & written
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements, acceptable practices and procedures.
- Possession of a valid driver's license code EB.
Requirements
- Execution of Municipal Health Services as defined in National Health Acts, 61/2003
- Provision of Health Education and public awareness to the community concerning environmental health nuisances
- Handling all health and safety queries and complaints from public
- Conduct Municipal Health Services inspections, taking samples and analysing samples
- Compile and submit reports on Municipal Health Inspections
- Perform any other task ad hoc duties as required by management from time to time
- Plan, monitor coordinates the application of procedures and sequences associated with environmental health
- General administrative duties
